Working should seriously be more interesting than this~
Everyone around me who are doing their internships get to follow their lawyers around to meet clients/ sit in meetings/ do researches/ give opinions / go to court ...
Now here's the
contrast: I facebook in the office, check e-mails, type letters, bind documents and photocopy agreements + chase behind my collegues' tails everyday
begging them to assign work to me, time's in such excess that i even ended up blogging
=( As if staying away from home is not bad enough (totally defeats the purpose of being on holiday sigh~)
On the contrary, my collegues are very friendly & oh-how-people-gossip at work!!
=) It's only the 2nd day of my 2nd week and i've had enough of conveyancing already. Chose Ipoh and not
KL / Sitiawan to work in cause it's a reputable small firm. Interning in Sitiawan would mean coffee-making & there really are not much options available anyway. KL, on the other hand is too hectic and I almost promised myself before that i wouldn't wanna stay there when I grow up~ Imagine waking up at 5.30 am to beat the traffic when office hour only starts at 9 ?!? Plus, I always wanted to start small to get an overall picture of what the profession is like first anyway, then probably target a bigger one after~
My timing is
REALLY bad though, cause what I heard from before, the lawyer I'm with is supposed to be an excellent mentor. Unfortunately her mum just received her medical report stating that she has
4th stage lung cancer and so she had to rush to and fro from work to the hospital. Hence, no time for the
poor attatchee~
Speaking of my boss, I coincidently found out that she was a
drum-major from
Nan Hwa's marching band. And according to her, her year was the first that won Nan Hwa the state championship. But she's almost 50 now so I guess that must be pretty long ago~
Think I've babbled long enough~ Going up KL this week to make up for
Ernest's birthday & meet the
Melbourne girls up yay!

xoxo
