Yet another Europe getaway

In a week or so the ChaBo's will be flying back to boring-old uk~ though there is something to look forward to ...

A dream holiday spot should be:

- Carefree and peaceful; like the colour white & blue

- Waking up to silky, wind-blowing curtains and bright blue sea

- Architectures and monuments similar to none others, to add a cultural touch; humming stories of the past

- Weather good enough to jump in for a swim or take strolls along the streets

- Land small enough to cycle from place to place;

- Bypassers friendly enough to greet you day to day

- Houses built high up on hills, closer to the sky whilst overlooking water & mountains faraway

Greece. Is the place to be.

I shall now introduce to you the two places that we're heading:

THE CITY

ATHENS

As many of you might already know, Athens, as the capital owns bustling outdoor cafes, pedestrian streets that wind through the city's ancient sites and its fair share of urban eccentrics.

If you get into the Athenian mindset, you'll enjoy one of the most laid-back and quirky European cities.

The historic centre, major sites and dining and entertainment precincts are all close together making Athens a great walking city.

THE ISLAND

Santorini

One of the most spectacular of the Greek islands.

- Landscapes of blue-domed roofs, dazzling white walls and black-sand beaches contrast the charming with the unearthly.

- sea-filled caldera, a vestige of what was probably the world's largest volcanic eruption.

" The eruption that caused the caldera is believed to have caused the disappearance of Atlantis. The island's violent volcanic history is visible everywhere you look - in its black beaches, earthquake-damaged dwellings and raw cliffs of lava plunging into the sea. "

Interesting Facts

- Greeks are in general well-dressed, religious or not, most people find it reasonable not to walk into any kind of church half-naked (bikini tops etc).

-
When at a bar you might be given a drink or a sweet and all you have to do is to thank the giver, or say cheers (yamas) and then you basically do not have to touch what you have been offered. It will not be considered rude.

- When yawning or picking your teeth you should cover your mouth.

=) My research shall stop here in case you get GreenWithEnvy too soon lol..
Oh gosh I seriously can't wait.. Yippy!
