Hyde Park last year
So anyway, the history behind it was that a bunch of Catholic young men, for purposes of low religious tolerance of the King, conspired to blow up the House of Parliament.
Barrels of gunpowder was stored in a cellar under the House of Lords but words got to the King and actions were taken on the 5th Nov 1605. Guy Fawkes, who was in the cellar then, was caught, tortured and executed.
April a.d.o.r.e.s fireworks
Her dream wedding's to go on a cruise + fireworks in the middle of the sea hehe
Hence, it became a tradition onwards that on every Nov 5th, fireworks and burning effigies of Guy Fawkes on a bonfire will be set alight to celebrate the safey of the King...
In Leeds there's a fun-fair right opposite the bonfire site as well, with rides and games with prizes to win~
This year we did not join the rest at Hyde Park
but played sparkles at our backyard instead lol

Ck brought fireworks too! (yes they're legal here) So grand and pwetty!!!!
We had 8 fireworks but only occurred to us to take pictures when we lit the 7th... heh April and I smartly occupied that one...
This was the 8th & last one so we took our time making sure all the timing, positioning etc were perfect..
Thanks to raymond's great timer skills the group picture turned out fabulous!
